History  
  Sunk by Japanese warships off Samar on 25 October 1944 in position 11º46'N, 126º33'E. 252 of her crew were lost and only 88 were rescued by the USS LCI 74/337/340/341; PC 623/1119.All were wounded/injured and these include the Commanding officer Kintberger and Commander William Douw Thomas commanding Destroyer Division 93 who was aboard as well.
