History	Attacked on 30 January 1943 while guarding Chicago (CA-29), but was struck by a aerial torpedo,which killed 22 of her crew, On 14 February 1945 in Mariveles Harbour, La Vallette was extensively damaged by a mine. With six killed and 23 wounded. 1 DOW next day (15 February 1945) Stricken 1 February 1974. Sold to Peru 26 July 1974, cannibalized for spare parts. Her hulk was scrapped.
