History:	12 Dec, 1942 The Royal Navy destroyers HMS Whitshed, HMS Worcester and HMS Vesper, the Royal Navy destroyers HMS Brocklesby and HMS Albrighton, and the Norwegian destroyer HNoMS Eskdale attacked German shipping in the English Channel. HMS Whitshed was torpedoed and sank off Dieppe, France. 14 Apr, 1943 The German 5th S-Flottille (S-65, S-81, S-82, S-90, S-112 and S-121 attacked convoy PW-323 off Lizard Head. The convoy was escorted by the Norwegian destroyers HNoMS Eskdale, Glaisdale and 3 trawlers. S-90 torpedoed and sank the HNoMS Eskdale and S-121 torpedoed and sank the merchant Stanlake (1742 BRT).
